In mathematics, X is a variable with many possibilities, to add, to subtract, to divide, to multiply, and ultimately to solve. X represents the unknown potential within each of us, with collective power of shared understanding. But, what is the X we are all searching for?

This year, TEDxJakarta explores the “Equation of Similarity” — a quest for the X, the common ground in a world of increasing complexity. What are the fundamental questions that resonate across cultures, backgrounds, and experiences? What are the shared anxieties and aspirations that unite us? Can we find meaning, ownership, and belonging in a world that often feels fragmented? How can we find our own X to chart our own course and contribute to the collective good?
